What this page covers
This page explains how we use cookies and similar technologies, what analytics we collect, how you can control your choices, and how long we keep things. It complements our Privacy Policy.

Categories
- Strictly Necessary: keeps you signed in, routes your requests, protects against abuse, and makes the site work. These do not require consent.
- Operational: records authenticated presence on /v2 for class attendance and service delivery. Not optional analytics.
- Analytics: helps us understand usage (page views, button clicks, sessions) so we can improve the experience. In the EU/UK, we only use analytics with your consent. We honor browser “Do Not Track”.
What we collect (high level)
- Pages you visit and for how long (page views and duration).
- Clicks on clearly labeled elements (e.g., buttons).
- Session information to stitch your journey within a visit.
- An anonymous identifier to link visits (only when allowed/consented).
- Technical details like browser, operating system, screen size, and timezone.
- Country code (from our CDN) to understand regional usage and improve performance.
Our approach to privacy
- Data minimization: we don't store full IP addresses in analytics. Instead, we create a monthly rotating hash to observe high‑level network patterns without long‑term linkability.
- Transparency: no surprise tracking. We will always explain what we collect and why.
- Consent where required: in the EU/UK, analytics runs only after you allow it.
- Control: use the preference panel above to switch analytics off. We also honor your browser's Do Not Track setting.
- Retention: raw analytics are kept for a limited time, then deleted or aggregated.
Your choices
- Manage preferences anytime: use the panel at the top of this page, or the “Help improve Egg Academy” checkbox on your profile.
- Consent banner (EU/UK): Accept or Reject on your first visit — you can change your mind here anytime.
- Do Not Track: if your browser sends DNT=1, we turn analytics off.
